We have an open world medieval game, rendering 100s of houses, churches and people at any one time as the player moves around the world.
We have already exhausted all our optimimsation skills, including using LOD, and using some tools to combine meshes into a single batch. But it is still running really slowly on PCs running reasonably good graphics cards (Ncida GTX 960+). We need an experienced unity developer to either
1) Optimisise the project for us
2) Provide a number of tutorials / examples about how to optimise (billboarding, lightmapping etc) so as to increase the performance.
This is a uni research project so our budget is low hence why we are not using a consultancy to fix this. After some bad experiences with freelancer, please provide clear examples of unity experience and optimisation in your bids, those that don't will just be ignored.
