Hello we would like to make a case for the starter board [url removed, login to view] 2 from microchip. [url removed, login to view]
We want to support and give access from the case to all the interfaces the board has (serial port, ethernet ports, buttons, LCD, power cable, etc) plus some extra holes at the side.
We are not looking for something fancy but sturdy and if possible resistant to bad weather conditions
Manufacturing costs of the prototype must be included in your bid.
Thank you very much for your bids
Some answers to your questions in the clarification board.
Yes we do have access to the board and we are capable to provide accurate measurements. If needed a board will be send to you (our expenses) and you will return it as soon as the project is over (our expenses).
As seen it from wikipedia the desired IP=44. Maximum outer dimensions 250mm length x 170mm width x 150 mm height.
Along with the prototype, you must deliver the drawings-schematics in formats readable by a standard machine shop.
Of course we want to keep the cost relatively low but we prefer a design targeting to a fast assembly and good quality.
The prototype's material should be in aluminum but we are open to any proposals.
We do not have expertise in mechanical design so the awarded freelancer's guidance at the process will be of great value.

This is a preliminary price subject to your approval of the design. It is unlikely to go up unless you decide to change the requirements. It is likely to decrease subject to you accepting my ideas.
I have 20 yrs experience in designing enclosures using Sheet Metal. Molded Plastics and Castings. The majority of which were for external use. More detail in PM.
