We are manufacturers of LED Displays. I have attached some product manuals from our competitors so you can see the type of products in the industry and other designs in existance. Currently we use an OEM manufacturer to produce all of our products. We are looking to design our own proprietary cabinet system to be used in our supply chain as a replacement for the type you see attached.
Note: This project has nothing to do with the functional or electronic part of the LED screen, we are only looking for someone to design a new aluminum cabinet system.
The goal of the task is to create a modular system that can be assembled quickly, will lead to lower labor costs and lower inventory levels as well as has low materials costs while maintaining a rigid, robust, and functional product.
Criteria will be the following:
1.) Cabinet’s aluminum enclosure needs to be capable of protecting the back and sides of the LED cabinets from the elements.
2.) Cabinet system needs to be modular, easily assembled and permanently fixed together so to minimize inventory of parts we need to keep, and the labor and training involved in setting up the system.
3.) System needs to be able to adaptable to accommodate a series of LED module sizes and configurations.
4.) Cooling is important in LED cabinets so cabinet needs to incorporate openings for fan vents (photo of current design attached…fan system doesn’t necessarily need to be improved upon).
5.) Cabinets need to have a waterproof intake location for power and data cables.
6.) Structurally, the cabinet should be suitable for large scale applications (should be able to support an LED display at least 80 feet tall) and should be able to be used for partial onside assembly (display can be shipped in several parts and then lined up and fixed together on-site).
Further details will be discussed and we have several suggestions about how to pursue the design but are eagerly open to new ideas.
Deliverables will include the following:
1.) Drawings able to be used to create molds, dies, and parts to get price quotes for manufacture and then to completely manufacture the system. Preferable CAD format or equivalent.
2.) 3D representations of the system (CAD 3D or equivalent technical 3D software will be acceptable). For the purposes of visualization.
