We design and construct rectangular galvanized steel bolted panel water tanks. The material is 2.9mm galvanized sheet steel with a yield of 275mPa. The tanks are lined with a PVC bladder. We limit the allowable stress to 0.9 of the yield stress (ie 247.5mPa). We need the freelancer to be able to quickly provide the Von Mises Stress distributions of a proposed panel configuration. The panels are bolted to the concrete floor at 100mm centres with M12x75mm concrete screws. The panel to panel joints are bolted up the vertical edges with M12/4.6GR bolts at 75mm centres. The top of the panel is restrained by a tie in each corner across to the corresponding panel on the other side of the tank. Depending upon water depths there may be additional M16 rod ties passing through the panels with horizontal stiffener braces to support the panel wall. The water pressure may act perpendicular to either side of the panel as the tanks often are designed with an internal partition wall.
