Looking to re-engineer a water filtration device (see images) shaped like a cylinder that is approximately 3 by 3 inches with a storage chamber capable of holding 8 oz of filtration material (final dimensions negotiable). The first modification being to add a water tight sealed entry. Said entry could be a slide, hatch or door installed on either the top or side but which must be functional, easy to use and aesthetically pleasing. Current model requires use of a cartridge. Benefit here being to input mater directly into unit versus removal of unit to install cartridge.
Additionally, proposed model will have a water tube passing through middle of the aforementioned storage chamber. Entry into the tube from the recessed outer body requires threads for attaching a 1/2 inch shower spout (see image). It also must provide support for a rubber seal (see image). The tube will allow for the free flow of water from the water spout through the storage chamber and ending at the opening of the storage area floor (see image),
The third modification includes a floor separating storage chamber from a drain chamber. Said floor must be permanently affixed upon an X beam (see image) and contain 2 holes of uncertain diameter but no wider than a pencil opposite each other allowing for flow of water to and from the storage area (see image). Said floor will need be firmly secured upon X beam using a multiplicity of linear lines positioned on the inner walls of the storage chamber. Function being to prevent updraft under pressure and leakage between chambers. The flow of water from water tube will be partitioned in 4 equal parts where it interfaces with the mid section of X beam. 3 of the 4 quads (top, bottom and left) will immediately drain upon entry. The right side quad will not drain as it will be sealed thus forcing water up through the right side hole and into the storage chamber where it will mix with filtration material and drain via the opposing hole and drain.
The final modification is an ON/OFF Switch stationed within the right side quad. Design must insure a water tight seal soas to eliminate leakage under pressure. Unskilled in switches, inventor proposes a ball that when fit within the opening hole will prevent penetration of water into the storage chamber. Switching to the ON Position would simply require moving a lever to remove the ball from the opening.
Finally the drain pipe must have a water spout like extension including 1/2 inch threads to affix an external shower head as shown on current model (see image).
