Master cleanser’s side effects or master myths?
Blame pop star Beyonce to have made it so popular, almost everyone is talking about and even following the master cleanser diet program. It is a diet program which consists of maple syrup and lemon and claims to detoxify the body and the same time help reduce weight. It has gained rave reviews but at the same time has witnessed criticism as well. Though many followers claim that it leaves you with side effects, let’s take a look whether the program’s side effects are really harmful or are they worth it.
Side effects are nothing but natural:
The diet program in itself contains natural elements and no artificial chemicals, so it’s rare that it would leave you with harmful side effects. There are a lot of drugs out there in the market which can leave you with deadly side effects like paralysis, anxiety etc. But even when people experience a little less energy or a headache, they would term it as serious side effects! Really? Do you really think that a headache could be as harmful as paralysis?
It detoxifies, the weight loss in itself is a side effect:
The diet program’s primary motive is to remove the toxins and impure materials from your body and totally detoxify it. The diet is primarily for detoxification and no for weigh loss. The fact that this diet ultimately leads to weight loss can also be termed as a side effect only. So when the weight loss in itself is a side effect of the diet than how can one claim that the side effects of this diet are harmful? I mean most of the people who follow this diet crave for weight loss, then how can one label the primary motive of a diet plan they follow as a side effect? And it is not that a person will loose so much of weight that he/she would become totally skinny. People only loose that much weight with this diet which they need to loose to be healthy and maintain an optimum weight for their bodies. Those who have less weight to loose will loose optimum weight and will hit a plateau and maintain their ideal body weight, where as those who have more weight to loose will keep on loosing weight.
The healing impact:
When you follow the diet, you can actually feel your body healing and toxins being removed from it. This diet actually makes you feel that your body is becoming pure and serene. Though there are actually some side effects which may trouble you but they are not harmful and can easily be taken care of. Some followers of the diet may report white tongue or bad breath. But the tongue again turns pink when the detoxification process is over and even the bad breath doesn’t last long. Of course you can use a good mouth wash to get rid of the bad breath.
The withdrawal:
When you withdraw from the diet, you may experience some withdrawal symptoms but as soon as you turn back to your normal diet then everything would be back to routine.
