We are looking for a copywriter who can write descriptive articles on specific topics. The articles must mainly be based information extracted from web based historic newspaper archives. The articles are to be published on a history type website. The articles must be written in perfect English.
The copywriter must be able to research and extract information from archives like the New York Times Archive 1851-1980, U.S. Library of Congress “Historical American Newspapers” ([url removed, login to view]), Trove, digitized newspapers ([url removed, login to view]) and other similar sources. You may also extract information from other web sites and books, but not copy directly, no plagiarism! The articles must pass copyscape. It is an advantage if the freelancer has some kind of experience with similar type of work.
All articles must have references/notes to where the information was found, like in academic writing. The articles must not contain grammatical errors or any other lexical errors associated with style and punctuation.
The articles must never be re-produced, re-written, or sold to another party by the freelancer.
If we are satisfied with the work and quality we will ask the freelancer to submit 5 - 7 articles every week.

350 – 400 words
400 – 500 words
500 – 1000 words
1000 – 2000 words
Payment will be due one time weekly after receiving and approving the articles.
Bidders must be willing to submit a sample article of about 350-400 words on a given topic, this topic will be communicated to a few selected bidders only.
