I will be teaching a one-day workshop on preparing for the GRE (Graduate Records Exam).
There are three focuses of the workshop: (1) Strategies for coping with test anxiety, (2) Strategies for the quantitative section (Math), and (3) Developing a plan for self-study.
I have started the writing, but have stagnated and need help with writing something that gets the idea across in an appealing way.
I want the emphasis on our recognition that the test sucks, but that it is beatable and our workshop will make it suck less. The key term is empowerment, as many people suffer immense test anxiety due to self-doubt/lack of self-confidence.
Furthermore, the workshop recognizes that the test is as much psychological/emotional as it is academic, and that it will address both aspect.
It is especially suited for those that hate standardized tests and may be math-phobic, especially in testing situations.
I have attached what I have written thus far. Don't worry about the design. I was just using a template and will hire someone to design it professionally.
