Add command line arguments to existing project for messages 0001 to 9999 messages will be kept in [login to view URL] (see [Arg_Messages])
when "C:\Alerter\[login to view URL] 0001" is run the message for 0001 will be displayed in the UI
As the argument changes so does the message. The default of no argument would display nothing or some arbitrary message default message. The default message can also be placed in the [login to view URL] file.
There would also need to be a error handler for a argument that doesn't exist or invalid. "C:\Alerter\[login to view URL] BBBBB1" would trigger a error message or default message.
The purpose is the current and older security servers can not send a message stream but they can use a argument switch for each event.
So in an event 0001 2124 (Door 1 is open) it can pass "C:\Alerter\[login to view URL] 0001" . The Switch is defined in Rules and Actions on a controller software. We can re-define the meaning of 0001 as a usable message for the [login to view URL] software and have it match or meet what the user is expecting to see.
