Basic RTS (Real Time Strategy) Template
This is a template RTS project that is built on top of the UE4 ‘Shooter Demo’ game. It must use its code as a base for its functionality, and any additional functionality will need to be added to it in BLUE PRINTS. The Shooter Demo’s code doesn’t all have to be used, for example the menu system don’t need to be used. It will need to be replaced with just basic UMG menus and HUD interface. The template will be similar to the basic functionality of CoH, and CnC. The weapons will need to inherit from the Shooter Demo weapon system, and the characters will need to inherit from the Shooter Demo character class.

Will need to be able to zoom in and see individual units close up. (See CoH as an example)

Unit information in the middle, and resources available.
Unit creation on the right
Larger realtime map that can be pulled up during game play.
Just generic ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’ resources are fine and will need to be testable.
Map capture points for resources, and highlight what team owns want.
Waypoints should be shown on the map. This example, I think ‘OpenSteer’ in this game, but shouldn’t be necessary.

This menu should allow you to drag equipment over and equip it with the individual.
This will need to be expandable for more functionality, so good coding practises are expected. If this project is smooth, I would want to continue working together to further expand this template to a full game.
I will not be able to provide every bit of information, it will be expected that you take initiative and make decisions on your own. I will have ‘whats app’ for better communication. Test art is fine for finishing this project, it doesn’t have to look good. I will need to be able to expand this for more functionality, so please keep that in mind.
