- Mature Pokemon story: Beta-writer
I am writing a Pokemon ficseries, and would like someone who can write stuff up in their own words. I will show examples of what I mean to anyone who applies.
In my former beta-writer's words, this is what is to be done:
"Basically...
"I wrote in an 'expansive' fashion. I took the stuff you did, and started by filling out paragraphs because yours seemed thin. Not every single one, but where it fit.
"By doing that, I also focused on adding 'character' to the characters. Expose their personalities. Add tics and traits. So on and so forth."
Requirements:
-Must be capable of writing both male and female fanservice. This is in fact one of the reasons I am seeking someone out. Anyone who's been to Anime Fanservice Image Gallery or the Japanese fansite Pokesho should understand what I mean.
-Must answer all PMs within a few days (preferably by the following morning, UTC -4), if I am to assume you are taking this job seriously.
-Must be capable of writing between 5-10K words, in your own words.
-Outside-the-box thinking highly encouraged. I would prefer this be more than just an adaptation of the games with a gimmick attached. (I will show an outline of my story plans to anyone who shows some commitment, and we can discuss stuff to make happen along the way from there.)
Rules:
-I will pay everyone involved for each chapter they complete. You will get paid AFTER you show me a FULL chapter.
-All applicants will receive a chapter to work on, which may be a repeat of what I have given to others, but I will only keep those who do the job well and in a timely manner.
-Please show me your work when I ask for it, and make any changes I request made. (If you have reasons not to, please run them by me.)
-Once someone gets back to me with a finished product, I will ask everyone else with the same chapter for their WORK. Not words of assurance; your actual work to that point. I will give you more time if you need it, provided you have actually done a sufficient amount, before I finalize anything. If you have not done any work, or fail to communicate with me, I will not accept your work once I decide whose versions of the chapter I decide to finalize. You WILL get paid either way once you complete a chapter to my liking, before finalization, but NOT if you submit your work after finalization or fail to communicate with me at any point. (If this position interests you, but you are not able to do any work immediately, I can arrange to contact you later in case I lose anyone else I've deemed fit for the job.)
-The finalized chapter may be a combination of two or more people's writing, depending on how many contractors finish a given chapter to my satisfaction. I will show it to everyone I see fit to keep around, and will expect you to read whatever is not your writing. (If parts of it are, I will specify which parts to read.)
