Here's a quick overview... It's an e-commerce site for a fashion company. They have 3 retail stores - In LA, San Francisco, and NYC. They are using an existing inventory mgt system called Matrix (which they hate) and they are looking to overhaul everything. They want a new POS system as well as an e-commerce site that ties into the POS system. Since they have no warehouse, they want all incoming orders to automatically be sent to the retail store that is closest to the shipping address (based on zip code?). They also want a very clear and easy to use back-end system with lots of various reporting/stats capabilities.
Take a look through the attached wish list from the client. The first portion is mostly for the POS system, which we will NOT be developing, but it's important to look through since some of the features will need to be integrated into the website (ie. reports, gift cards, pre-sales, Quickbooks integration(?), etc etc). Note -- They are ONLY looking for development, no design work at all is necessary.
Please let me know what you think we can do here, and approximate timeframe and budget… if you're interested in taking it on. They are not looking to start on this for at least a few weeks, maybe longer, and they don't expect to launch the site for another 4-6 months.
