Ruby on Rails Job by danieljohnmorris

Hi, we're a UK startup developing a webapp around street art and graffiti. The site is hosted on Heroku. A key part of the site we're looking to develop is aggregating and ingesting content from other sites around the web.

I'm a developer myself but would like to speed up this part of the site by getting outside help. I'm looking for help developing a prototype version of a cloud worker (IronWorker?) that can scrape sites according to rules and process that into the main web app.

An example of this would be a lifesteam section to artist profiles where facebook page updates / photos posted to flickr would be shown as a aggregated feed.

Have you had any experience with developing cloud background workers using rails before?

Many thanks,

Daniel
