We have imported text into excel from a website. This text needs to be checked for consistency (some columns need to be all upper case for example, when the source text was upper and lower case) and bespoke formatting tags need to be added for items we want to show differently. There are 365 rows of information and each row has 8 columns which need examination.
See the sample file. Columns A-J are already checked and correct. Columns K-R are the ones which need looking at. The sample file has 3 rows (and a title row). The first two rows are already fixed. The last row is uncorrected.
For columns K-O a simple check against the source website (and correction if required) is needed.
For columns P and R tags will have to be added to specific pieces of text. Note the tags which have been added <b> and </b> around text we want in bold, <i> and </i> around text we want in italic etc... I can give more details about how and where to add the tags at the next stage. We also need to check certain name forms agree with our in-house policy for these columns. A checklist will be provided.
For column Q we need to check any content agrees with content mentioned in column P (again this relates mainly to name forms).
Column U contains the source website, which you will refer to and check against
