This project is focused on creating a complete complete list of distinctive/unique Credit Card Rewards along with Card Benefits and Retailer discounts. In the attached spreadsheet there are three sections aligned to each of these.
Rewards - For this section, please identify credit cards and their rewards. Note, I have completed for about 20 cards. I am not interested in cards that are simply 1% cash back... I'm looking to build a data base that would identify the right credit card for the right type of purchase. For example, if I was going to the movies - what card should I choose? If you look at the information I collected thus far, the card for movies would be either Citi Forward (column C), Discover (Column D) or Chase Freedom (Column F) depending on the time of year. Please add ADDITIONAL categories if you find a card that offers an incentive for a particular category. For example, if you found a 'coffee drinkers' card for 5% off all coffee shops. Then add coffee shops as a new category.
Card Benefits - For each credit card, please identify the additional benefits offered. There may be some overlap between the cards, such as Citi Cards or Chase cards may have same benefits. Please be a descriptive as necessary to understand the benefit.
Retailer Benefits - Please identify each retailer and the appropriate percentage or incentive. I have completed Amex Blue Cash and Citi Forward as an example. There may be signficant overlap such as for Citi's Bonus Cash or Chase's Ultimate cash. Please be sure to identify the program for each card.
