A system is required for a business that ships ebay orders to customers and imports the ebay order information (.csv), allows some modifications or adjustments and then converts the order information so that it can be imported (.csv) into Australia Post eParcel for dispatch.
The originating file is .csv and the 'system' would process this data based on fixed variables (configuration), allow the weight (variable) to be changed and also allow individual items to be deleted. When the user has completed their modifications a AusPost eParcel compatible .csv is generated as well as two report files with sorted information (for printing/download)
This software/solution is not defined and could be .exe that runs locally or (preferably) is web based.
The principle ‘manual’ user adjustments to the data are:
- Add the order weight
- Delete an order
The principal automated processes are:
- Adding standard details (from a configuration file)
- Processing/correcting Postcodes (from a postcode csv)
- Exporting into the required CSV format
- Generating 2 reports that can be printed
- Creating logs (used for validation and basic archiving)
Complete technical specifications are available which define all variables as well as originating and final CSV formats (and postcode CSV), formats for 'report' files, validation requirements and logging requirements.
Though the technical specifications describe this project in detail, it is relatively simple and mainly involves connecting, adding and sorting data rather than requiring complex logic.
For delivery of a web based solution, this should be able to be installed on our own server (standard configuration) without installing additional server modules or server changes.
We expect from our developer / developer team that they are reliable, deliver on time and to specification, provide a quality solution (commented and basic documentation where applicable) and also provide us with complete rights (so won't resell this in part or whole). This project as described is 'Phase 1' and 'Phase 2' functionality has been planned and means ongoing work.
Thank you for your interest and we look forward to connecting with a great developer / developer team.
