Developer needed to support integrating a X-Cart ecommerce site with an order fulfillment company's webservice (Gardners). Processed X-Cart orders held in the X-Cart database need to be sent to the ftp account of the webservice as CSV files. The webservice will send CSV responses to the FTP account which need to be collected and the information (e.g. order has been sent for delivery) sent back to X-Cart for recording in that database (or alternative).
The attached guide gives full information about the files and process for sending information to the webservice. It is expected that the chosen bidder will either have experience of X-Cart and/or detailed knowledge of sending information to or from MySQL databases.
It is assumed that the approach would include:
Creating order CSV text files from processed orders (ie money received) in X-Cart
Automatically sending these text files to the ftp account at Gardners
Receiving ftp updates / responses from Gardners on their and displaying these in X-Cart admin associated with the corresponding orders.
These responses to be recorded in the x-cart database (or alternate)
Additional order states to show in X-Cart as based on whether order had been sent to Gardners or whether they had indicated ready for dispatch or dispatch.
The approach could include the creation of new Admin section functionality in X-Cart for communicating with the web service or separate web pages that communicate directly with the X-Cart database and Webservice.
Happy to try to answer any questions.
