MEPF + HVAC Design, Modeling, Calculations, Analysis, & Computations - 07/12/2018 04:25 EST

Basically, There are 3 types of buildings:

1. The hotel: 9,240 m2 x 14 Floors + 3 basements floors

2. The Cinema Building: 3,000 m2 x 5 Floors

3. Mall Buildings: 3,000 m2 x 2 floors x 20 Buildings

If you did the analysis and computations for 1 floor in the mall buildings, you will multiply it by 2 for the same building and by 20 for the other buildings. For the Cinema building, you will multiply it by 5. This is because all these buildings have the same area and height.

For AC (HVAC): Consider the following volumes:

Hotel: 9,240 m2 x 15 floors = 730,000 m3

Cinema Building: 3,000 m2 x 5 floors x 6 m (height) = 90,000 m3

20 buildings. each building 3,000 m2 x 2 floors x 6 m (height) = 720,000 m3

Inner streets (43,160 m2 ) x 6 m (height) = 258,960 m3

EER(Energy Efficiency Ratio)=cooling capacity of ac/power consumed by AC cooling capacity of 1 ton is equal to 3.517 kW of power.

For the AC electricity consumption for the inner streets around each building, add 211 Kwh/ day (77,000 Kwh annually added to the electricity consumption for each building)

To compare the total energy transmittance/heat transfer under the daytime condition in full sun of all glass types, based on a set of standard conditions formulated by ASHRAE

Solar intensity of 230 Btu/Hr/sqft

Outdoor/Indoor temperature difference of 14°F

RHG (btu/Hr/sqft) = ( SC x 230 ) + ( U-Summer x 14 )

RHG ( W/m2) = ( SC x 630) + ( U-Summer x 7.8 )

For the electrical part: Assume consuming the restaurants 9.3 Kwh/ m2 or 100 Kwh/ ft2 annually.

This means each building in the mall will consume 6,460,000 kwh annually +77,000 Kwh = (6,537,000 Kwh). for the 20 buildings = 130,740,000 Kwh.

The cinema building might consume 17,000,000 Kwh annually as there will be 3d projection mapping on the facade of the building.

The hotel building might consume 20,000 Kwh / room annually. This means the annual consumption might reach 44,000,000 Kwh, in addition to the exterior light for the ads on the side facade of the building and the 3d projection mapping (1,000,000 Kwh). So, the total will be 45,000,000 Kwh annually without the pools and jacuzzies.
