Wish to develop a customised PID controller - with a slight difference. PID will have 5 x RTD (Pt100) inputs and 5 x outputs. Each RTD input will drive it's corresponding output - however, in addition to all the usual PID control settings and algorithms, the controller will need to 'prioritise' the outputs and only allow a maximum number of outputs energised at any one time - according to a menu based setting.
Device will need to drive a 999.9 digit LED display and have approximately 5 buttons and a 'menu' to adjust settings. 5 additional outputs are simply switched on and off - by means of the same buttons (in normal operation) or after a preset 'count' of an external pulse. Number of 'pulses' to be stored and recalled from Flash memory. The 'control' aspect of this device is extremely simple, so we are most interested in hearing of your experience in the development of PIDs, etc.
