Electronic Circuit design and PCB layout

This project is for electronic circuit design and PCB layout. I am a licensed pyrotechnician. My company does world class fireworks displays, including propane fire effects. Our fireworks are shot using an electric match that lights the fireworks when the electric match is hit with a small voltage pulse from our computer. I would like to take the voltage pulse (12 to 24 volts at 10 to 20 milliseconds) and use it to operate the circuit that I need. I need a small circuit to close a solid state switch connecting a 12 volt gel cell battery to a 12 volt electric solenoid valve. The circuit must have a way to preset how long the switch will stay closed when it receives the pulse and this value must be precisely adjustable using something like a DIP or rotary switch so that several units can be configured the same if desired The circuit must have multiple isolated inputs- any of which is able to start the timer.
