Hello. We are seeking a circuit designer for a small custom project. Currently there are RF and IR remote controllers for LED strips that integrate the LED driver amp so that when you press 'blue' you get 'blue' lights, when you press 'mode' you cycle through pre-programmed patterns of color changes, etc.
We wish to use the ATTiny chip (a paired down Adrino) to drive addressable (smart) LEDs. This part is simple and I can do it using a USB Adrino programming module to program the ATTiny. However we wish also to integrate a stock RF remote control so that the receiver (2-3 channel) provides the correct output to trigger the correct color or pattern program to run on the ATTiny.
We believe the output of the ATTiny chip is adequate to drive our small LED circuit. We need to use a stock RF unit so to avoid the short production cost of molding a remote, etc. I believe that some modulation circuitry may be necessary to convert the RF receiver output into the correct input for the ATTiny - this is the key element. Additionally there may be a simple OP Amp circuit necessary to drive the LEDs, but I don't think so because our current draw probably is low enough. The ATTiny can run on a [url removed, login to view] LiPO and drive 5v addressable LEDs with minor external components. I can send schematics and links to circuits, etc.
So please write if you understand what I have written and think you can do this for us. This would be the first of several enhancement circuits that we wish to develop for a new product so ideally we will find a partner for ongoing product development.
