Hello, I am about to program a microcontroller bare metal and have some problems where I need help. I did not find any good books or tutoring, because today everybody uses HAL or CMSIS.
I work with the microcontroller STM32F429ZIT Discovery kit and I want to play pixel animations on the built-in display (AN4861). So I need a drawPixel () function or something like that. I already have working software that initializes the SDRAM and drives the LEDs but I can't figure out how to connect to the display.
What I am looking for, someone who explains in detail what I have to do to draw on the display in bare metal. That means no HAL or CMSIS. Which components do I need and why?
I expect a document or C / C ++ code that explains the required components and initializes the pins, clocks and provides the required functions for driving the display.
I can provide you with all the documents you need, but they are also free to read on the Internet.

- "AN4861 Application note LCD-TFT display controller (LTDC) on STM32 MCUs"
- "ILI9341 Specification"
