Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and devise solution(s) for intermittent component failures in a new custom-designed low-voltage power system for a messaging appliance we're developing remotely with partners in China.
Power is supplied by 48v PoE, stepped down with DC-DC converters, incorporates a 12v battery (with custom charging logic), LED lights, ground loop isolator, and audio amplifier.
Must be present on-site at our office in Carmel, Indiana, to physically work with the appliance and collaborate with Director of Engineering and CEO. We are primarily a software engineering shop, but have basic equipment (multimeter, scope), so anything else you can bring to the table to help your task might prove helpful.
Due to delays in supply chains, if experimentation is absolutely necessary, we are looking for as definitive and quick diagnosis and solution as soon as possible. We are open to considering contract/task-oriented compensation (not just hourly, so our hourly rate is just an estimate). Mandarin is not required, but is a big plus if you can speak directly with our component suppliers and partners (they speak English, but it's their 2nd language).
