I need a very simple circuit board designing in a form that is complete for low volume manufacture.
The board really is not much more than a busbar - inputs are 24V and 0V supply via screw down pcb mount terminal block. There will be three rows of 8 screw terminal blocks - lets call them A, B and C. All connections in row A will be +24V, all the B 0V and all the C + 5V. Thus I get 8 possible points to supply 24 V to various devices (ie between rows A and B) and 8 ways to supply 5V (ie between rows C and B) without needing multiple wires in the same terminal connection.
The 5V output should be derived from the 24 supply by onboard circuitry or module. It looks to me like something similar to [login to view URL]
could do it but you can suggest any component(s) or modules. Any components must be readily available on the Uk RS components website or similar so I can buy easily.
The current output of the 5V supply should be max 1A approx. The 5V supply output should be stable even if the 24V input is used to switch on and off solenoid valves or motors which might produce temporary voltage drops/effects.
The size/shape of the board does not matter much - whatever seems natural will be fine. Parts should be through hole for hand soldering. Any questions please ask.
