I have worked on a similar project involving extraction of CAN(J1939 Protocol) Data for a commercial vehicle of a fleet owner. I will be able to retrieve vehicle data for you through CAN with a good sample rate required for your analysis. But the number of variables that can be extracted will depend on your vehicle model and make. Kindly share with me further details like the type of analysis you want to carry out and the details of the vehicle.
