I am a researcher working on comparing personal data security procedures internationally. My current work looks at China´s data protection, addressing the following questions: How does China electronically store key sets of personal data? Where is the data stored? What measures are in place to protect this data?
I would like to invite bids to produce a research piece into the protection of Chinese citizens´ passport data as an example of personal data protection. The piece should begin by explaining in detail the procedure through which Chinese people apply for a passport. It should then explain as thoroughly as posible the storage and protection of this information, including technical details and the involvement of third parties.
Following successful completion of this piece, there is the potential for the offer of further, more involved commisions on this subject.
Native-level Chinese language reading skills as well as highly developed research skills are essential for this task. You will also need a good understanding of current technology; specific technical expertise would be advantageous.
