I'm used to be a listener, in my preview field of work that's what you needed to do every day, listen to guests and listen to passengers, take notice on how the talk, the little gasp or whatever sound so you could be prepared to be what that person needed at the time, a friendly voice, or someone with a backbone.
To be a good listener you need to be patient, need to know how to be calm and collected, keep your ears and brain focus on the task you are doing.
