This project is a bit different from normal proofreading.
The content is machine translation output, (Dutch - English). This content needs to be checked: not for perfect English, but to make sure that the English conveys the Dutch source properly because obviously sometimes machine translation will get the meaning completely wrong. So there's not need to really polish the English.
After you're done the material will be edited by a native speaker English to get that 'native English feel'.
So you would be someone with extensive (ideally native) knowledge of Dutch, to check the machine translation, just to make sure it reflects the intention of the Dutch author. And to make sure that the English is good enough to be further adapted by a native speaker English without any knowledge of Dutch.
Let's call this 'light proofreading' as you're mainly checking if the meaning comes across right.
Okay, so we are looking for someone with good knowledge of Dutch (native ideally), and good knowledge of English of course.
Once these 2800 words are done and we're happy with the result, there will be more and bigger projects to follow in the very near future.
Do let us know your experience with Dutch and with English. When you quote please keep in mind that the scope of future assignments will be substantial.
Good to know: time difference is no problem (if you live in the US, South America or Asia for example), in fact in some cases it can be an advantage. We will likely get back to your offer tomorrow as it's 10pm over here in Amsterdam right now.
