I need a Excel macro solution to build cost sheet worksheets from a Template, with data from incoming excel files (preformatted) which the user selects .
Programmer must be able to create documented code which will run on Excel 2010 to Excel 2016. Programmer must not make hard coded links the files (with the exception of the template file). Unicorn solutions which only run correctly in the developers mind, and computer will not be paid final milestone. Final milestone payment after accepted working solution which satisfies the spec.
Program needed to read a few incoming (consistently formatted) files to populate and create formatted Excel output ‘cost sheet’ files. These ‘cost sheets’ should be worksheets in an excel workbook, with the ‘style name’ as the work sheet header. Data should be ‘mapped’ and copied into the cost template using the header fields as the descriptors.
There should be a macro routine/subroutine for the user to select the incoming files for generating the cost worksheets. One for the linesheet information, one for the BOM, and one for the style information.
The primary keys that match between these files is Style and season. These exist on all 3 of the worksheets. (there are also other matching header fields)
The template for the cost sheet worksheets is named Flex Playground costing sheet.xls. (can be turned into xlt format for this program)
The incoming data files are called Bom view – costing tool.xls, Product Season Line Sheet Print out.xls and Style_S17ADEPAW23_Costsheet_01.xls
The file name of the last ‘style*…xls’ will change, and there should be a user selector.
There should be error messages if data is found to be inconsistent, or the incoming files cannot be loaded.
If a user re-selects the incoming file, the data should ‘overwrite’ onto the existing worksheet.
This should work in excel 2010, and current excel 2016.
This should work on all computers with and operating system, and excel.. there should be no hard coded URL paths if possible.
This should work without a full install package to the computer, and operate like an excel macro.
