Hi there I'd like to have created an excel file which will allow me to record in coming and out going stock. I would like to record stock under different category types with stock code and description I would like to record incoming stock, it's trade price cost and date received I would then like to record outgoing stock (ideally just enter stock code and quantity sold) I would then like to be able to print a report at that point in time which will list stock levels by category (and values/ total values) I understand there are better platforms than excel but this would be easier for us accessing from multiple computers via dropbox

Hi Thank you for allowing me the chance to bid on your project. As a new freelancer I understand the importance of building a reputation on this site and therefore I have priced this bid accordingly. However do not mistake this for a lack of expertise in this area. I have completed numerous projects relating to the development of Excel based tools. I would leverage off these previous tools in order to complete the task. As per your request, I propose that the Stock Management tool be an Excel based tool with built-in macros to facilitate the data entry process. I would envisage a 'Stock Movement' sheet that would be the point of entry for recording stock movements. The user would only be required to enter the code, date and quantity to record a movement (in or out), the remaining information (e.g. item description) would be pre-populated from a "Stock list" sheet. The user would be able to update this 'Stock list' sheet with new items, update prices etc. This ensures that data entered in the 'Stock Movement' sheet is consistent and free from errors. The movements would then be transferred/removed from a 'Stocktake' sheet (by a macro) which would contain current stock levels. Another sheet could contain reporting functionality that could be printed. It would also be possible to have an audit trail that would stamp the windows user name of the employee who entered the data. The tool could also be locked down (protected) and include data entry validations. Thanks

Hi: Here's my proposal: I will design a menu driven Excel sheet where you will option of entering Stock, recording outgoing stock and a dashboard menu to view the current status of stock and stock sold. We can also add the option of sorting or filtering any particular type if you want. All the content in the dashboard will be printable. When entering data, it will present a form. Following are the features you would get. 1. An interface to make data entry a) A drop down showing asking for 'incoming' or 'outgoing' b)Entry facility for category, stock code, quantity, trade price and date Once done click a button to push the data in back-end. If entered values are same with one of the already made entries (same category, same stock code, same date, same status (incoming or outgoing) then it will pop up a message whether operator still want to make the entry replacing the already existing one. 2. A section for report generation. Where you need to select again which status (incoming or outgoing), from which date to which date, and press generate button to see all values with total at the bottom between two dates. If the above description is something similar to what you are looking for kindly let us know. And of course this can be made a shared document. So everyone in your office can access at the same time. My bid amount right now is for updating sheets as per your job description whereby I would implement some drop-downs to make the input easier for you. If you supply me the Stock Codes, Price list, it will be nice to do this drop-downs. However, my idea if implemented would need me to code some macros so if you would like my idea than I would quote a price of 50. So here is my idea. You have a Master sheet where you can enter all stocks (Outgoing & Incoming both). With an automation, this stocks moves to either Outgoing or Incoming sheets based on your command of just a mouse click. Additionally, a table alongwith a graphical representation of your stock levels by category. This will be automated as well to update as per your current stock entries in the Master Sheet. Right now I am looking for a Job as Warehouse Operative/Associate or Assistant in any foreign country. Regarding warehouse inventory report. I will need more information. Please send me list of products/items including their details and quantity. It is possible for me to create a complete excel inventory management report which will contain following attributes. --Incoming Goods-- TOP - Product Descriptions Column [Title] - GIN/GRN Column (Shared with Outgoing Goods) [Title] - Opening Balance Row (with goods inventory quantity will be maintained in cells) . . i have something better. and u can install it between multiple computers. EXCEL is no doubt easiest but u have to do double entry and if 1 entry missed it will give a lot of trouble rooting it. i have done this for OSIM Pakistan in excel to manage 3 warehoused and 6 shops.
