Update and correct 2 columns in a spreadsheet

I have exported a spreadsheet of furniture items for sale on our website to send to another company and they require the data to be in a certain format. I have already formatted most of the data as they require, but only 2 columns are left and they are too tedious for me to do right now, so I need your help.
These 2 columns are the item Categories, labeled Category 1 and Category 2.
Currently the Category 1 column is blank and it needs to be filled in with the correct value for each of the items in the sheet.
The possible values for Category 1 are:
Beds, Screens & Other
Case Pieces & Storage
Lighting
Mirrors
Seating
Tables
The Category 2 column currently has all the correct values from our website export, but these values do not necessarily correspond to the possible values the company requires. So each type needs to be examined and updated accordingly.
The possible values for Category 2 to be updated to are numerous, so I won't print them all here. Instead please refer to the attached reference spreadsheet that was provided to me by the company I'm needing to send this data to. If you open up their spreadsheet and go to the "Categories" tab, you'll be able to see all the possible values for Category 2 and how they correspond to the proper values from Category 1.
Probably the easiest way to do this job is to start with filling out all the values for Category 1, using my current Category 2 as a reference guide. Then when the Category 1 column is all filled out, move on to Category 2 and compare each value to the possible values for Category 2 in the company's reference spreadsheet and correct each one of them using Find/Replace. However, please note this would only work if you can use Find/Replace on values in the Category 2 column ONLY - doing a Find/Replace text on the entire sheet will ruin other parts of the data.

Finally, when you are done, I need this back in my original XLSX spreadsheet, as well as a plain CSV file.
