database is still growing but currently has ~4500 entries- each corresponding to a unique piece of artwork .
database is hosted on a server and accessed by 4 computers
Design- database needs to be designed to be more user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing.
Also, is it possible to set up a "printer-friendly" view so that we can easily print each image & certain corresponding info in an attractive way? Assuming all the images and data are properly referenced/entered, for example, if we search for "oil paintings" and print every result, can each painting have it's own page with corresponding image an description?
Function- 2 issues-
1) every time we switch between views, the database asks if if you "would like to save changes to the layout." It asks this every time, even when no changes to the layout have been made. Can we correct this? is this just because I am signing in with admin controls over a server?
2) the images, which we we reference, are stored on one of 2 local servers. However they don't always appear in the layout view. Sometimes just the file name is displayed with no image. Haven't been able to identify why some work and others do not. we need to see the image that corresponds to each piece of art, so figuring out how to properly reference and view the image so it can be seen from any remote location would be a huge help.
