The needed model should use ABAQUS CAE for pre and post processing.
It should be a dynamic model using the explicit solver.
The model is required to simulate a hammer impact onto a metal object. The metal object is in contact with a bone material.
The hammer object should be modeled as a rigid face with a coupled point mass. Mass 1.5kg.
I will provide the geometry of the metal object that will need to be meshed.
I will provide the geometry of the bone (already meshed with material properties defined at each element- Density, Modulus and poisons, also stain rate of [url removed, login to view]^-1 should be used)
The metal object and the bone object need to be positioned according to a diagram I will provide in the ABAQUS CAE environment.
The model should be solved for 2 separate friction co-effs 0.4 and frictionless if possible.
The initial velocity of the hammer should be approx [url removed, login to view] The analysis should run for a short time period <[url removed, login to view] approx
The results should focus on the strain in the bone, Also the force transferred both to the metal object from the point mass
Also the force transferred from the metal object to the bone.
The modeling method should be presented in a PowerPoint presentation with plenty of screenshots showing the parameters being set etc.
The results should also be presented in this PowerPoint.
Also all the modelling database files (ABAQUS files) of the working model should be given to me.
