We are a startup developing flash based games for young children. The games are simple and often based on age-old popular concepts like Pacman, Bejeweled, Tetris etc. They involve simple game physics, simple animations and AI. We expect very high user delight and hence the game should play with very high quality and the UI should be well thought through.
We are looking for a single or team of freelance game programmers to develop a simple game based on the following simple logic:
It is a jump-game and has 2 levels. The player has to jump from one floating step to the other without falling down through the middle. They only difference from other jumping games is that not all steps are safe - some of them are bombs and they have to be avoided. Once the player finishes one level, he goes through the next level where in addition to the 1st level, there are falling rocks between the steps. The player has to avoid the rocks also while jumping. Points will be awarded based on time of completion and number of lives lost.
The key selection criteria are
(a) Very high quality of jumping and good "game flow" feel. We only want people who have done something similar to quote.
(b) Very short timeline. We will award this to those who can provide the fastest turnaround time along with reasonable price.
(c) Low price - we will select someone based on quality and time also, not just price.
We will want to get the source code with good comments/explanations
