I need someone to create a short interactive Flash (or Adobe Captivate) style learning task to demonstrate to students what dilutions are and how to work them out. This is a standalone learning task within a course, and does not need to communicate marks back to moodle. We would prefer this done in Flash.
The animation should start with a brief description of how to read the dilution and what the solute and solvent is. It should then show them a few examples with animations (Eg adding the solvent to the solute) to aid with visual learning.
The student then needs to have a go at recognizing how many parts in the dilution factor are solvents and solutes and get told if they are right or wrong.
Then it needs to move on to calculating the volumes of each, and once again have demonstrations and then examples for the student to have a go at.
The final part of the task is for the student to watch a demonstration on 'parts' and then have a go at some examples.
Attached are the pages from the learning guide we issue students currently. This is essentially what we want this task to be based on.
It is expected at the end of this that the copyright is ours, and you provide us with the editable files as well as the finished files. We are looking to have this finished in 2 to 3 weeks from start.
We will give you our logo and associated artwork so it can be matched to our theme. We will also assist you with a more indepth overview however we do expect you to act somewhat autonomously as well as you see fit. We will provide feedback throughout the project and expect regular communication from you and demonstrations of where are are up to.
I expect the whole student 'learning task' to be around 10 to 12 mins in length from start to finish if the student is of average speed at the examples.
It is envisaged that some voice overs will be required, we can either supply these (during or add in after the project) or you can supply these with a neutral easily understood accent. This will be discussed as the project progresses.
