I'm a photographer and director who needs to show work on a "kiosk" type display that is interactive. In the past we have used a mac with a griffin powermate as the input device to play or scroll through a number of images with no other interaction.
Now, we would like to include buttons / navigation, using the same system -- a Mac connected to a display, with the griffin powermate as the only input device.
I'm looking for someone who can program an app (or a flash SWF) that can accept input from the Powermate, and can be easily added to with new images and galleries. It could pull images from my website database or the hard drive (website uses as Slideshow Pro database) but the videos would need to be on the hard drive for speed. It needs to be able to operate on both 720 and 1080 displays and keep image quality flawless. It would include a few menus and galleries, which I can pre-design for you.
The controller (griffin powermate) is a simple knob, the user can scroll left, scroll right and press the knob (the functions can be set to any kepress combination). "Press and hold" as well as "hold and rotate" are also programmable if needed for more functions (press and hold to get back to main menu, etc). The user will need to be able to select a gallery, then let the gallery play automatically and pause/start or scroll through the images / video.
