This will be the top banner for our main site located at [url removed, login to view] It should be a stand alone Flash 9 SWF or Flex module that can be loaded into the existing site application. The width should be 970px and the height should be anywhere from 110px to 220px (restrictions not absolute if there is a need to go beyond).
The SWF should transition between 5 different display states on a timer, utilizing some kind of transition effect for each change. Each state will depict a "service" offered by our company and should display a title, a brief description, and some kind of graphic representation behind or beside the text. The actual text data should be loaded from an XML file, however the graphic portion can be hard coded into the swf (extra bonus points for a system to add and remove states dynamically). Animation in a display state is optional as long as it is unobtrusive and stylish. Each state can be unique in their design, but should retain a common theme. The exact graphics and images to use in each state is up to yourdiscretion, however I would like to incorporate a few screen shots from some of our projects.
If the mouse is over the banner, the current display state should remain in place, starting the normal transition timer after the mouse is off. There also needs to be amechanism (such as a public function on the stage), that can set the display state to a specific index and hold it in place until it is told to resume it's normal transition cycle. For example, if the mouse hovers over a specific service in the main application, it will tell the top banner to jump to the appropriate display state and remain there until the mouse moves off.
I am more interested in graphic designers then programmers. As long as the code can get the job done, it does not need to be fancy. If you are a strong interface or graphic designer with some experience with Actionscript, please provide an example of your portfolio.
