Full featured flash player which will closely resemble the player found at [url removed, login to view]
At load the player will read from an XML file the following items for each item to play:
- RTMP FLV File Name/Location
- JPEG File Name/Location
- Title of Video
- Date of Video
- Text for Link
- URL for Link
Then the player will create small square boxes across the bottom of the player, they should be slightly transparent but when you mouse over them you should get a read out of the data from the XML with the title and date. The player will load the JPEG and display that straight off. With a large play button which would roll the first FLV.
All other clips will roll after it in a play list style. Then, in the upper left of the screen we should see the title of the currently playing clip and the Text for Link from the XML file. If a person clicks on this link, it should redirect them to the specified URL.
When a video plays, during the initial buffer to get us running, somewhere on the screen between the title and the text for link would be a great spot, we should see some sort of graphic to indicate that it’s loading. At the bottom of the screen, there should be a small timeline which indicates how much of the video is loaded and a tiny dot style play head which can be moved by click and drag. In the bottom right there should be a counter.
The play controls should be in the upper right – mute, pause, stop, and full screen. Additionally there should be a hide button which will essentially hide all the play controls.
This whole player will be displayed at 600x400 when it’s at it’s largest, we would like option to make it smaller to reuse on other pages.
In any situation where the XML file only includes one entry no squares should present. It should just look like a really cool player.
We are essentially looking to emulate what you see at the referenced site.
