I'm looking to build an MVP of a web-based oil drilling simulation game that I have planned.
This will be a 2d game with both isometric and traditional 2d views.
This project involves BOTH designing the game assets and programming the game.
Here's a simple overview of the game.
- Players will be given a plot of land along with a "pack" of gameplay assets (drilling rigs, storage tanks, oil delivery trucks, etc)
- We will build an oil "formation" that will under 10-50% of each plot of land. Players will be able to drill into this formation.
- Players will compete to produce the most oil from their plot of land and deliver it to fixed delivery point located on their plot
Future iterations of this game will involve the game assets being NFTs where players can buy, sell, or rent game assets.
I'm open to the game engine but I think [login to view URL] makes sense given the web-based nature of it.
I envision this game MVP taking:
- 100 hours of design
- 100-150 hours of development
I will have a lot more detail to share in a Game Design Document
