This is Larry Griggs, and I am in need of you services to write a book, as well as a screenplay. The story is Rebirth of a Runner: The True story of Paul Nutall. It's been given a green light to shoot next month, starring Cuba Gooding jr. I have a 37,000 word transcript that needs to be crafted into a cohesive story, and screenplay. There's action, comedy, suspense and drama in this piece. I need it ready in less than 6 weeks. I know this is a tall order. The transcript will be sent if interested with a confidentiality agreement. Here's the story outline:
Chapter I My Bad
The story opens with a young black kid who has it all, born with the silver spoon in his mouth, 12 years of age and a play station killer, who is dissatisfied with his life, wants something more, wants to be a gang banger, and is on the cross roads of a life decision.
But to join the gang, the Bloods with the red Bandana's he must prove him self and kill one of the Cabron's a hispanic gang with their distinctive blue bandana's, he is given a gun, told where they Cabron's will be and sent off on his own.
After the shooting he runs, and he runs as fast as he can, he saw eight Cabron's hit the floor he thinks he is a mass murderer and assured his place in the Bloods. He try's to hide in a building which turns out to be a boxing gym.
Chapter 2 The Early Years
He runs into and threatens what he thinks is the janitor, with the gun, soon he looses the gun and we see him break down. The Janitor is Paul Nutall the three times golden cloves champion and the kick boxing world champion. Tyron the young kid wants to belong, resents his up bringing and dreams of being a poor black kid from the bad part of town, Paul sit's the kid down and explains that life from the poor side of town is no bed or roses and tells his life story.
Chapter 3 The Fighter
Paul tells the story of being poor and how hard it was growing up in the 70's a member of a large and dysfunctional family. The more he hears the less appealing the idea of being poor and hungry is to young Tyrone.
Chapter 5 The Lion
When it comes to women, and how to treat them Paul's experience prepare him for some very bad and unpleasant treatment of women, he tells this not as a matter of pride but quite opposite as a matter of shame, and not asking for your understanding but forgiveness, because he now knows that to be so wrong. He wants to help the youth move away from the stereo type of their lives.
Chapter 6 Money, Mammas and Michigan
Having more money than sense is not good for any young man, but for a young black man from a poor and dysfunctional family was a curse and Paul's journey to self destruction is not as slow as one would think but it was steady and assured. We see how he went clubbing, took woman as he pleased and made friends with people who saw him as a meal ticket.
Chapter 7 The Fed
Into each life some rain must fall, but when it fell onto Paul's it was with the same force and velocity of his birth a veritable tornado dumped on him in the form of the IRS and the Secret Service Agent that is looking for Paul for Felony Tax violations. Paul helped his brothers out with the money he had been earning, just not helping out his Uncle Sam, who came a looking in the form of Brian Gibson a Secret Service agent.
Chapter 8 Running Hard
The brothers, did bad, their bad, but when it went bad for them they blamed their brother Paul for their conviction so in the midst of all the difficulties in his life and in the lives of those around him, his two brothers are given log prison sentences and because he could not lie for them the whole family blamed him for his brothers troubles he could not lie for them because he had a world of his own troubles to deal with. In return his brothers implicated Paul in their crimes and the chase was on.
