We started a google sketchup file that is designed as a reference for our shipping department. The file has the various shipping boxes that we use and the tape applied to them. The point is to show where the tape should be located and how long it should be. The file will contain several 8-10 boxes with different tape configurations. Each box will have dimensions displayed and will also have a shipping label applied to show it's location.
This is a fairly simple project, once the first box is defined it's a matter of copy-and-edit for the remaining boxes.
The file needs to be professionally created with proper material and object names for ease of editing. For example, if there is a custom material for the tape don't accept "material1" as the name, but rather "tape material" - etc.
Rendering doesn't matter, we will use the default sketchup renderer or just export a PNG file for our use.
I have attached a screen shot of the file we have created so far. It is NOT complete and is provided as a reference only.
We will provide the specifications of each box in textual format, including:
- if cross-seam tape is used (visual example will be provided)
- where shipping label is to be applied
Each box requires:
- full dimensions
- tape length
- shipping label location
- box name (displayed below each box, non-perspective)
We will print the entire file so the boxes need to be positioned side by side in as many rows are required to print. We will supply the paper size to target once the project commences.
