We need a dozen low poly 3D textured models for a vertical shooter game (if you don't know what this is, please do a search for Ikaruga on either Google or Youtube to get a better idea) .
Here is the breakdown :
2 simple spaceships (100-200 triangles, 128x128 texture)
1 simple air-mine (100-200 triangles, 128x128 texture)
3 more detailed spaceships (150-300 triangles, 256x256 texture)
1 more detailed air-mine (150-300 triangles, 256x256 texture)
2 even more detailed spaceships (300-500 triangles, 512x512 texture)
3 boss "motherships", those woud be quite detailed, with preferably one or more rotating/scaling parts (600-1000 triangles, 1024x1024 texture) .
Although we can provide basic concept art for the ships, we would prefer to find a sci-fi enthusiast (even better would be a shmup enthusiast) with a strong vision, providing his own concepts .
Cartoonish art style is prefered (please refer to attached images) .
Each model should have a unique design (we don't want the same model with different polygon counts !), but textures and colors should have some consistency .
Size does not matter as the models will be resized . Polygon count does matter !
Prefered file formats are .3ds/.max for the models and .tga/.png for the textures .
You can design "glowing parts" on the ships by making a mask texture for those parts, although this is not required .
Normal maps would be a huge plus, but are not required .
Quality/publishable concept art (even if speed painted) is also a huge plus .
All budgets will be considered .
Finally, quality will be prefered over speed .
