Container / Packaging Ideas and Design for Sport Supplement Products

SUMMARY You will propose commercially available and feasible container / packaging alternatives for a new line of sport supplement products. The packaging will be characterized by its attention grabbing / ‘stand-out effect’ in a store, innovative look and approach, and low production cost. BACKGROUND I am looking for someone with experience in industrial design, container / packaging materials, and graphics - preferably with relevant reference work completed. My initial budget is tight but later bonuses may apply, and there will be other projects too. I have perfect ratings on Freelancer. I am a buyer with a great reputation and intend to keep it that way. OBJECTIVES: The intention is to create an attention grabbing and appealing look and feel for a product by choosing the right containers that will hold them - for a new line of sport supplement products. There will be 3 types of containers: powder holding (1.5kg and 3kg), pill holding (60 pills and 90 pills), and protein bar holding (1 bar = 75 grams) – all of which should share a similar look and feel since they will work as a single product line. You will propose several alternatives including innovative alternatives for containers and packaging both in terms of materials used (e.g. plastic, cardboard, etc. and combinations thereof), and overall design (wrapper vs. print or emboss on container, etc.). Your alternatives will be focused on allowing the products to: - Stand out / be noticed on shelves within a retail environment amongst other existing products (without costing notably more to manufacture them) - Communicate on the packaging (be able to print on it, possibly emboss, or glue a wrapper with communication, etc. depending on your needs) - Make the user want to hold the container / touch it (to increase the likelihood of purchase – by possibly using interesting materials, shapes, textures, etc.) If you have catalogs of containers / packaging you want to share as your proposal, kindly include a mention of the pages you are specifically proposing / recommending.
