This contest is for making one animation sequence totaling about 30 seconds. It will be used to reward children for reading a row of reading words. The teacher will click a button if the words are read correctly which will launch your animation. We currently have several projects out there for making dancing animals, however, in this one we want to hear from you. What could you make that a young child would like to watch? This can be anything from a funny animal sequence to a flying saucer visit from outer space. These need to be put into a movie clip with 3 frames:
Frame 1/Animation 1: Your main character simply faces the screen and waves. It then makes subtle body movements for 5 seconds which repeats in a loop.
Frame 2/Animation 2: This will be shown after reading the row of words once. This time we show your main character doing something exciting for about 3-5 seconds. This could be clapping their hands - jumping up and down - spinning 360 degrees - being picked up by a bird and parachuting down (I like that one) or anything fun and exciting. Along with this, your character must say something similar to - "Good Job - Say the words again and watch what happens next."
Frame 3/Animation 3: Now comes the big moment. Here your character or characters do something exciting for about 20 seconds. This can be anything at all. For example - it would be fun to see - the characters line up side by side to do a group dance - 3 or 4 could jump on top of each other with the animal tower swaying back and forth - then they fall. It could be anything you think the children would like. Along with this, we ask that your character at some point says something similar to - Nice work reading the words - You are very smart! - The audio needs to be syncronized with the mouth movements.
This is an unusual bidding project in that most of you will be doing something different. I will be inviting 5-10 of you to do your project for us based on what I read here. So, tell me what you want to do in detail for your fun animation and how much you would charge for this 3 part animation movieclip. My programmer will then take your work and put this into our reading program. You are more than welcome to take any previous work you may have done and modify it for us. So, get your creative side working and tell us something fun you can make for the children to watch briefly.
We understand some bids will be $50 while others may be $200. You can even submit more than one idea. We will be needing about 10-15 more.
