I am new to Get A Freelancer and posted this originally project about two weeks ago. I paid someone (Dorin928) $100 to get started and never heard back. So, I have learnt a few lessons along the way and have now revised the project as follows:
I am looking for someone to design an upmarket brochure for a piano shop. It would be a mini-catalogue / booklet that would be used to promote the stores products and services and would have to have a long shelf life, so no Opening Specials or anything like that.
If you are successful and do a great job, I will give you more work in the future. If you view this as a 'job', it is probably not for you. If you think pianos are beautiful instruments, are passionate about music and think this is wonderful chance to create something exciting for your portfolio - you are on track!
The final product would have to be delivered (email or uploaded to an ftp site) to me as a native InDesign, Illustrator or Photoshop file, so I can edit and make changes as required. I currently use Adobe CS3 for Mac (not CS4) so I need the files to suit that format.
I need to own all the content for all of the materials that are produced. In other words, all IP (intellectual property) and copyrights would be assigned exclusively to my company. This would also give me the assurance that you would not use the template for anyone else and would ensure that you do not re-use any text or images I supply you.
If you use stock images as placeholders, I would purchase them directly from the company (I have accounts with iStock and Deamstime). You would need to sign a form acknowledging all of this before you start, so I have attached it.
The catalogue would be 16 pages A4 landscape. I can provide most of the images and copy (text) but some of the hi-res images are way too big for me to upload, so I could use your ftp site or I can use YouSendIt - but you would need to provide me with an email address.
I will provide a comprehensive brief upon request. This brief will go into details of each of the 16 pages.
I would like someone to mock-up 2 or 3 concepts by roughly completing 4-6 pages. I will pay you $100 once this has been done (NOT before) and if everything is OK I will pay you two more installments with the final payment being upon completion (I think they call these Milestone Payments).
There will be revisions that I want done at no extra charge!
I need the catalogue finished asap as I am now way behind, so I would like some concepts in 2-3 days and the finished catalogue within 10 days, if this doesn't sound reasonable please let me know.
Just so there is no confusion, the steps are as follows.
1) Print, sign and date the Copyright Assignment form (attached) and send me a scan.
2) Send me samples of your work (websites links are OK)
3) Let me know how I can send you large files (images)
4) If you are selected, I will send you a complete detailed page-by-page brief
5) If you still feel you can do the job, I will set aside $100 which will be released when I get the concepts (4-6 pages)
6) Follow the brief and send me the mock-ups. If you haven't followed the brief you will NOT be paid.
7) If we both feel we can work together, we can proceed with completing the publication.
Hi, I'm sure i can do this for you. I am new here so I would like to make a 10$ 6page concept for you just to make a good impression and then if you like it we can go on. PLEASE CHECK PM! Best regards, Paul
