I need to have a freelancer edit 30 photos by tracing and extracting the hair from model pictures(which we have releases and licenses for). To be clear, the hair and hairstyle itself is what we are interested in - not the rest of the picture. The work is not hard, but possibly time consuming.
We need the hair cut around precisely and not just blocky or cut off. All other parts of the image must be removed around it and set to a transparent background. This also means that any background areas within the hairstyle need to be removed when possible. The pictures we send to have worked on will roughly 800X600 or bigger in size, and we do not want them resized any smaller. The final product must be sent to us in .PNG format.
Bidding - we are accepting bidding for 30 pictures edited... Whatever the final bid is, we will pro-rate the final payment based on the number of acceptable edited PNGs we receive from you... In other words, if you send us 25 acceptable edited hairstyle PNGs out of the 30, we will pay you 5/6 of the bid. Only good quality photos will be accepted.
There is potential for this to be an ongoing agreement if we find someone who does quality work on these. Due date will be no later than January 23rd, and we will want pictures sent as they are completed in order to evaluate progress.
Please let me know if you have questions.
I chose two of the moderately difficult pictures as test shots... For whoever wins the bid, these two photos will count as two of the 30. Please submit the test shots via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Here is the first photo to edit.
The second test photo. Again, quality is more important than bid (unless of course two bidders are close and one is drastically lower.)
Please remember to remove all background other than the hair, including shadows where possible. Send the results back in PNG format with a transparent background.
Many bidders are misunderstanding our request. Not only do we want the background removed, but we need the model removed as well. The hair is the only thing that should remain.... We will be making our choice based on the level of detail in the hair and the ability to remove all the background without 'cropping' the hair much.
Hope this helps...
Lastly, please get in your testpics by tomorrow, we will be determining a winning bidder before end of post.
I also want to add that we have an additional 200 or so pictures that we will need the same thing done too over the course of the next 4 months. The winning candidate will likely get first shot at those as well.
