Mediaweek is an industry-leading trade publication about the media in Australia, covering broadcasting, magazines, print, outdoor and online. We send out a daily Morning Report covering the news of the day, as well as producing a weekly print magazine. We also have a TV show, do podcasts and have a magazine app.
We have a small office of five staff, one of whom works mainly online. We are 25 years old. We focus on quality, currency and correctness.
[login to view URL] is the current website. It is easy to navigate, and heavily promotes our magazine and Morning Report. However, the design is out-dated, and we would like to become a more digitally focused business with our Morning Report copy being accessible online. We would also like more space for advertising, and a more visually pleasing site. It is approximately five years old, and is used almost exclusively by Australians. We would like a cleaner, more-user friendly interface that is dynamic and can be viewed on any device.
The new website will be designed to increased traffic and create greater ad revenue. The audience is the same as our old website – media executives. As such, we would like a sharp, high-end site. The audience will access the site via phones, tablets and desktops.
We will continually update the website daily, with news items received throughout the day and Morning Report items. These will be displayed on the home page, with images.
We can supply our logo, and a more detailed brief as required.
We would like a beta site to be ready by 15 February.
