I am looking to relocate my core business from the west end of Toronto (mostly High Park area) to the east end (Beaches and surrounding neighbourhoods). We are an as-of-yet unbranded masonry and landscape construction company. My intention is to advertise in a local paper named Beach Metro news. I am going to start with a three-column by three inch print ad (5.07" (w) x 3" (h)) as well as a classified ad. I don't need copy written for the classified ad. It targets local masonry services and needn't be fancy. No work is required there.
The main ad I am requesting will be for the landscape construction portion of the business. This design will be something to build on (some branding elements preferred, such as consistent fonts, masthead, etc - elements that could be repeated on business cards, websites, flyers etc that would have visual consistency). Larger ads will follow in the same publication if the run is successful. A proper website, flyers, business cards and such will be needed in due course, but the trial run for a designer is this print ad.
I am attaching a few examples of my work. I expect to integrate one of them into my upcoming print ad, likely the photo titled 'Landscape 1'. There will be minimal copy in the ad and I am willing to write it myself (mostly just bullet points and contact information with a company name tba - likely Better Home Exteriors). But I want something that looks nice. There might be a heavy border around the ad to separate it from its surroundings. The photo could be cropped, dissolved to white etc to create space for clear text. I am open to suggestions.
This is a simple project for a competent designer. I am not willing to break the bank on this one.
The budget indicated in this posting applies to the print ad only. Obviously, if more elements are undertaken, they would be compensated in kind.
