I am looking for a Japanese sequential art or animator artist to render my adaptation of Ryunosuke Akutagawa short novel. The adaptation is in movie shooting script format, thus reasonably easy to render in visual form. The rendering style changes with the narrative arc from Japanese traditional to modern. The graphic novel or animation targets both the mature and young philosophical minds. The shooting script is copyrighted in [login to view URL] and the Poetry in Film blog explains its visual language.
The remuneration could be by contingency and royalties if the artist chooses them; this assumes a partnership throughout the creation, publishing and distribution of the artwork.
The artists are invited to shortly describe why they could be interested in this offer and provide access to samples of their art. This first selection step will be followed by interviews.
Close cooperation throughout the graphic or animation progression is key to the artistic and commercial success of this project. Communication in English is desired but may not be necessary.
Thank you for your attention, Vlad.
