I am developing a website (WordPress platform) in which I would like a custom Google Map that:
2. Allow user to view and filter map per selected categories (example [url removed, login to view]).
3. Allow user to contribute to map via form entry if possible. (?? i.e. google form/gravity form >> google sheet >> fusion table >> Google map). If not possible by form entry, then contribute to map directly with: Business name, address, select category of business, etcetera (I've identified ~8 broad categories)
4. Place custom marker/tooltip information
5. Custom Legend
I'm honestly not sure what is or isn't possible (although I have done some research online) and therefore not sure which questions should be asked; I'm open to ideas and suggestions.
I love what Google My Maps look and feels like but I don't believe a user can add markers.
I am identifying businesses in the United States that aren't gun friendly. I'd like to use crowdsourcing in order to identify those businesses.
When someone visits the website, they'll be able to geolocate and view businesses nearby that are anti-gun. If an anti-gun business exists and doesn't show on map, the user would have the ability to submit and publish that business defining the category it belongs in... i.e. Grocer, Retail, Automotive etcetera.
I'd like to be able to edit the user submitted info if necessary.
